I was recently exploring the high street new-in items and suddenly my eyes saw this:
When I was in high school, I had almost identical pair of cherry red ballet flats. And here I was, 10+ years later, realizing that I should have never thrown them out.
The slightly squared toe, the ruching, the bow - I love everything about them!
I know, I know… Red is a bold color .
It might seem that the styling options are limited, but you’ll be surprised how many different vibes you can create with this single pair of shoes.
So when I put up multiple cute outfits with my new red ballet flats, I thought - why not share them with you?
These 10 below are my favorite ones. Hope you catch some inspiration or even try to recreate them with your own wardrobe.
Outfit #1
This outfit is business on top, party on the feet.
Gather your hair in a bun or a ponytail and complement it with a red silk scarf. And don’t forget the bag charms!
Outfit #2
Red, chocolate brown and butter-yellow are all trending in 2024 and they also pair so well together. There’s also a cool play of textures: suede skirt, sleek vs braided leather and a plush mohair.
I will definitely be wearing this on dates, school meetings and spring coffee runs.
Outfit #3
The romantic and slightly infantile ballet flats work so well with structured items, like this pinstripe vest and pants set.
I’m saving this look for those days when I need to feel like a fierce woman who can do just anything but also doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Outfit #4
This look is my perfect day-to-day effortless outfit. It takes literally seconds to put on, looks effortless, and yet it whispers: “I know the current trends.“
Outfit #5
Rustic pieces always look chic with some romantic elements. Here, I’ve added a statement necklace the color of which vibes with the bag. The bag charms, on the other hand, links to the romantic shoes and an A-line skirt.
It's an outfit that's sweet enough for a daytime date and stylish enough for a gallery hop.
Outfit #6
When summer hits and layering is out of the question, I often make my outfits more interesting through color blocking, textures and layering accessories.
This shift dress outfit is so easy to recreate, but it surely doesn’t look simple. To spice it up even more, add a pair of lace off-white socks.
Outfit #7
I’m a firm believer that fashion is about having fun and not every outfit you wear should be flattering. This look is exactly like that.
Baggy jeans, puffy sleeves, structured shoulders, bold patterns and colors but somehow this whole craziness combines so well.
This is probably the kind of outfit that girls would love, but men would definitely hate. And this is why I love it so much.
Outfit #8
This look is for days when I feel like rock and roll and want to give off that cool-girl vibe.
Baggy jeans, graphic tee that looks like it’s a hundred years old, leather jacket, glam earrings, and ballet flats that don’t seem to fit here at all.
It's the perfect ensemble for when you want to look like you're not trying too hard, even though you totally are.
Outfit #9
I’ve worn this outfit today because the weather is like "Is it hot or cold outside?".
The picture doesn’t really show it well, but I’ve layered lace leggings under a midi satin skirt for warmth (and coolness).
Here’s how the leggings look with the ballet flats. Isn’t that just adorable?
Outfit #10
This will be my go-to playground/running errands outfit.
Utilitarian functionality of cargo pants, practical bag, and grunge-inspired checked shirt (that I’m planning to tie on waist on warmer days) make it super comfortable for running and jumping with my toddler.
I’ve added a bold pearl necklace that resonates with the romantic vibe of ballet flats and creates a subtle link between the two.
That’s it for today. If you’re struggling to style some items, let me know and maybe I can offer you some ideas.
With love ❤️
